Tennis Court Repairs

Crack sealing, patching, drainage correction and net repairs that stop small problems becoming expensive ones.

Overview

Courts rarely fail all at once.

A hairline crack, a low spot that holds water, a section of lifting surface — caught early these are quick, affordable fixes. Left alone, they are the reason courts get rebuilt.

  • Flexible crack sealing
  • Birdbath and ponding correction
  • Delamination repair
  • Fencing and gate repairs
The detail

Diagnose the cause, then fix it properly

Any repair starts with finding out why the damage happened. Cracks caused by base movement need a different approach to cracks caused by surface shrinkage. Water ponding may be a fall problem, a settlement problem or a blocked drain. We diagnose before we quote.

Typical repair work includes routing and sealing cracks with flexible fillers, patching and levelling depressions to eliminate birdbaths, repairing delaminated or blistered surface areas, correcting drainage and surrounds, replacing net posts, nets and centre straps, and repairing damaged fence panels and gates.

Every repair is finished to blend with the existing surface, and where the surrounding court is faded we will tell you honestly whether a patch or a full resurface is the better spend.

Benefits

What you get with tennis court repairs

The specific advantages this service delivers — and what they mean for the life of your court.

Flexible crack sealing

Cracks routed, cleaned and filled with a system that moves with the court instead of splitting straight back open.

Birdbath and ponding correction

Low areas patched and levelled so water drains instead of sitting on the surface and degrading it.

Delamination repair

Lifting, blistered or peeling surface areas cut out, re-bonded and re-coated to match.

Fencing and gate repairs

Damaged panels, straining wires, posts and gates repaired or replaced to keep the court secure.

Net, post and strap replacement

Sagging nets, rusted posts and worn centre straps replaced with quality hardware.

Honest assessment first

If a repair is throwing good money after bad, we will say so before you spend it.

Client reviews

What clients say about this service

Feedback from clients whose courts we have worked on.

They repaired cracking and a drainage problem that two other contractors had simply painted over. Honest assessment, fair price, and the ponding has completely gone.
Deon MaraisSports club, West Rand
From the first site visit to handover the professionalism was on another level. The base work was done properly and the finished court is flawless — the bounce is perfectly consistent everywhere. Worth every rand.
Werner van ZylPrivate estate, Midrand
Our netball and basketball courts were unusable. Ramzey GLM resurfaced both, added new posts and remarked everything. The children were back on court in under two weeks and the difference is remarkable.
Nomsa DlaminiPrimary school, Benoni
Four club courts resurfaced with almost no disruption to our fixtures. Clear programme, clean site every evening, and the colour has held beautifully through two summers now.
Grant PetersonTennis club, Pretoria East
They installed new fencing and LED floodlights on our existing court. Court usage in the complex has more than doubled — residents are playing until well after dark. Neat, tidy, on schedule.
Riaan BothaResidential complex, Centurion
We have been on their annual maintenance programme for three years. Reports after every visit, no surprises, and the courts still look like they were resurfaced last season.

Court Repairs questions answered

Surface cracks can be repaired very effectively with flexible crack-repair systems. Cracks caused by ongoing movement in the base can be managed and greatly improved, but honest advice matters here — we will tell you what the repair will and will not achieve.

Usually one of three things: insufficient fall built into the original court, settlement creating a low spot, or blocked or failed drainage around the court. The fix depends entirely on which one it is, which is why we inspect first.

Most repair inspections in our Gauteng service area are scheduled within a few working days. Urgent safety issues — a damaged gate, an unsafe net post, a trip hazard on a school court — are prioritised.

Yes, and most of our repair work is exactly that. We work on courts of all ages and by all contractors.

If the surface is otherwise in good condition, repair. If the court is faded, worn and cracked in several places, the repairs are often better rolled into a full resurface — you get a new playing surface for not much more than a series of patches.
